We hit this little place on our road trip to Montana. I Yelped it & it had some good reviews. Staff was friendly and quick. Pricing was reasonable for what you get and the bread is phenomenal. My husband thought they skimped on the meat, but I think it was just right. They have a real good selection of sandwiches, all of them come with lettuce & tomato and their "special sauce". I ordered a 6" RB & provolone, chips & a drink. I was perfectly satisfied. I think he just wants a $10 sandwich for $3 ;) Atmosphere is a little plain, it wasn't air conditioned, so the dining room was a little stuffy. We only spent about 1/2 hour in the place though. I'd definitely go back next time I travel through town.

The place is located in an older coca cola fast food hole in the wall. Don't let that fool you. Very good sandwich. Place is clean as well as the restrooms. I always wash my hands. I wanted an Italian sub but there was not one on the list. Staff was very nice and offered to make me anything I wanted. I ordered a 6 inch jam, salami and pepperoni with Italian dressing. The French bread is very fresh and soft. The meats and cheese were sliced thin but they gave you enough portion to make the sandwich satisfying. They offer soups and salads which I did not try. I would recommend this if you want something slightly better than Subway and Jimmy Johns.

Looking for heaven conveniently placed between fluffy, delicious bread to give you an orgasm in your mouth? Look no further than The Sandwich Tree. This is a "little hole in the wall" type of restaurant, owned locally, only one of it's kind. It "lost" out to Jimmy Johns as the best sandwich place in Idaho Falls, which is an absolute outrage. The sandwiches at Sandwich Tree are the filet mignon to a burnt flank steak of Jimmy Johns. They offer a variety of sizes, from 4 inch subs all the way up to 12 inch subs. If you get a footlong at Subway, get a 10 inch here as it will surely fill you up. I personally always get a number 18, all meat combo. The bread is made fresh every day, and is so fluffy and delicious. If you could only go here one day, make sure it's a Thursday. They bring in homemade brownies these days that are absolutely delicious. Always draws a huge crowd for them, so go early or you might miss out. My only complaint is I wish they had some more toppings, such as banana peppers, green peppers and cucumbers.

When visiting from Portland. We hit this place a minimum of 2 times! Great bread and fast service. I wish they had a few more options for toppings but that's just me being greedy.

Amazing. I grew up in Idaho Falls, and discovered it shortly before graduating high school back in '95 (yeah, I'm old). Every single time I go back to I.F. I make it a point to stop in and grab one of their delicious sandwiches. Consistency with ingredients and the bread that is made for them daily - doesn't get any better. I'm not sure if they're still doing this, but the owner would occasionally bring in her homemade brownies on Thursdays - which are good enough to sell anywhere on planet earth. Can't wait to get back there & have another!

Can't decide what's best about their sandwiches. The bread is awesome. The sauces are totally original. The best sandwiches in Idaho Falls. Great family that runs the place, too. Dining room is basic and cool. If someone comes to my town and asks what restaurants to hit, I always recommend Sandwich Tree.

We stopped here on a whim on the way to Yellowstone. We were very happy that we did! The Angel Sandwich was AMAZING!!! We also got a french dip sandwich, which was really tasty and my kids liked it because it is plain. Also got some chili and its really good and tastes actually homemade, so they get props for that, too. If we are in the area again, we will be stopping by.

We went in after reading such great reviews. We got there at 7:50pm and the doors were locked, the open sign was on so we were confused. The lights inside were on as well. We saw an employee but she ignored us. So we went to get in our car and we then saw her go over and turn the sign off. I'm guessing she closed early and didn't want to help us so she locked the door. But didn't want to get in trouble so left the light on. I'm a business owner and if an employee behaved this way, there would be consequences. We went in on the night of 09/10/13 if the owners care to know.

I have to find something to include for my sandwich rotation since carston's blew the big one and subway and jimmy johns are complete garbage.. Pretty good sandwich place with a good variety. Now if you ever in a need for a 6 foot or larger party sub this is the place to get it. The regular ones are ok but for some reason other places don't fully understand the party sub but this place does. Fluffy bread and a good variety. They have soups and other non sandwichie items also.

Even though the atmosphere needs some updating, the sandwiches are delicious!!! The angel sandwich is my favorite- so yummy!! And the brownies are to die for, although I think they only make them on Thursdays.

Pretty good. They need more toppings though - they only have lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. Where are the black olives, sprouts, banana peppers, cucumbers?

Do you know that friend that is always there for you and never changes. That is the Sandwich Tree. really this is my favorite place to eat when I am in Idaho Falls to visit family. The bread is second-to-none and the staff is always great. The place gets busy around lunch time but there is a reason for that... it is good and the locals know it. If you are in the area you just have to give it a go. Much better than the chain restaurants and it is a quaint little hole in the wall. Really, try it.

Hands down...best sandwiches I've ever had. I've been all over and have tried to find something comparable but the search continues! It's the bread...I don't know what's in it but it's amazing. It's the perfect small, family owned sandwich shop.

After spending 5 minutes trying to figure out which sandwich creation I wanted I just went with turkey and roast beef and it was great. Bread was soft and chewy, super fresh. Condiments were fresh. Only bad part, at 5pm out of both soups.

The Sandwich Tree serves up a wide variety of sandwiches and other foods. Service was fast and our sandwiches were made fresh. My ham and turkey sandwich on wheat bread was great. My co-workers also enjoyed their lunches. If I was in the area again I'd stop by.

Great find! Sandwiches are delicious, the bread is fantastic. We needed a place to grab a sandwich while in town for a baseball tournament and we were pleased to come across this place. Lots of meat and veggies on the sandwiches. We will definitely eat here again.

I love this sandwich shop it has the best sandwiches I have ever eaten! It starts with their bread it is so soft inside and outside, it's also much wider than any other sandwich shop I have been too. I usually get the pepperoni and ham, so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it! They have many sandwiches to choose from or if one wanted to one could have them make whatever kind of sandwich one could come up with in the imagination! Really nice people behind the counter they are always friendly and cordial. The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is that every time I have gone in at lunch time they are super busy and there is a lot of waiting in line and then waiting for the sandwich to be made. (They take your order and make it unlike subway where you watch them make it.) I just try to go there after the lunch rush so as to not have to wait plus it's a good sign to me when an establishment is packed. They also have great soups and can make extra large sandwiches for groups or parties they just have to be notified a day in advance. Really great sandwiches for reasonable prices so much better than subway as long as your not on a diet!

Best sandwiches! Perfectly prepared with enough lettuce and not too much and the right amount of sauce. The meat and cheese was fresh and perfectly portions. Nice helpful staff. And they cut the 8" in half for my two kids. They loved it too!
